The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has banned Tunisian referee; Slim Jdidi following his controversial performance in Wednesday’s semi-final match between Burkina Faso (Bafana Bafana) and (the Black stars of) Ghana.
CAF Secretary General, Hicham el-Amrani told journalists that they are not happy with the ‘standard of refereeing’ in the match and that Jdidi has been asked to step aside.

During the match which was played on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, a contentious red card was awarded to the Burkina Faso forward Jonathan Pitroipa which means he would miss the final game against Nigeria on Sunday. Also was the issue of the penalty kick Jdidi awarded to Ghana.
Pitroipa had appealed the referee’s decision to send him off in the semi-final match and CAF have admitted his appeal.

All these referees that cross their boundaries sha..? they should better open their eyes oo for the finale* ehen!
