Russian Female punk rock band Pussy Riot Imprisoned
Moscow (CNN) -- Three members of Russian female punk rock band Pussy Riot were sentenced to two years in prison Friday after they were found guilty of hooliganism for performing a song critical of President Vladimir Putin in a church.
The five months they have spent in detention since their arrests in March count toward the sentence, Judge Marina Sirovaya said.
The judge said the
charges against the three women -- Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Maria
Alyokhina and Yekaterina Samutsevich -- had been proved by witnesses and
the facts.
The Pussy Riot members
were charged after screaming, "Mother Mary, please drive Putin away," in
a protest act in February inside Christ Savior Cathedral, one of
Moscow's grandest houses of worship.

Robin van Persie moves to Old Trafford on a four-year deal
Manchester United have completed the signing of Robin van Persie, after the former Arsenal captain passed his medical and put pen to paper on a four-year contract.
The 29-year-old striker joins in
time for the start of the 2012/13 campaign, and could go straight into
the starting line-up for Monday's Premier League trip to Everton.

The fatty acids found in these nuts are thought to have helped sperm development. It is not known if this would help improve male fertility.

ESUT Vice-Chancellor kidnapped by unknown gunmen
The Enugu State University of Technology [ESUT] Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cyprian Onyeji has reportedly been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
DailyPost gathered that the suspected kidnappers, numbering about 10 apprehended the VC at the front gate of the university around 11.30 am this morning when he was being driven into the main campus of the institution.
It was gathered from an eyewitness that four of the gunmen had apparently been lurking in a rickety car parked at the school gate, awaiting the
VC’s arrival.
“As soon as they sighted his two-vehicle convoy, the gunmen used the rickety car to block the gate, jumped out and started shooting into the air.
“Six others appeared from nowhere and attacked the convoy and they shot and deflated the four tyres of the police van escorting the VC” the eyewitness sated.
A policeman in the escort van who tried to resist them was shot while the gunmen dragged the VC’s orderly and driver out of the car and drove off with Onyeji in his official Honda car.
Some of the gunmen also jumped into a car they had parked at a motor park at the school’s entrance and drove behind the VC’s car.

Bill Gate wants To Create a new Toilet
A year ago, his
foundation issued a challenge to universities to create a new toilet,
launching a worldwide effort to improve sanitation.
This week the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced who won the challenge.
California Institute of
Technology was the big winner and was awarded $100,000 for its idea of a
solar-powered toilet that generates hydrogen and electricity. The
United Kingdom's Loughborough University won second place and was
awarded $60,000 for a toilet that produces biological charcoal,
minerals, and clean water. The University of Toronto in Canada garnered
third place and $40,000 for a toilet that sanitizes feces and urine and
recovers resources and clean water.

Duke of Edinburgh rushed to the hospital For The Second Time
The Duke of Edinburgh has been taken to hospital as a “precautionary measure”, Buckingham Palace has said.
Prince Philip was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary this afternoon, the palace said. The nature of his illness was not disclosed.It comes after he spent five nights in hospital with a bladder infection following the Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the River Thames.
He was discharged from London’s King Edward VII just in time for his 91st birthday in June, but his treatment meant the Queen spent some of her jubilee celebrations without him by her side. see more Here

Fabrice Muamba Retires from Football
Bolton midfielder, Fabrice Muamba, on Wednesday announced his retirement from professional football.
Muamba said he was being forced to retire based on the recommendation of his medical team.
A statement on the club’s website quoted him as saying he was “devastated” but “thankful.”
The 24-year-old said, “Football has been my life since I was a teenage boy and it has given me so many opportunities.
“Above all else, I love the game and count myself very lucky to have been able to play at the highest level.
“While the news is devastating, I have much to be thankful for,” the statement said.
The Congolese had collapsed for 78 minutes on the pitch at the White Hart Lane during an FA Cup match between Bolton and Tottenham in March.

Terminal cancer patient, Talia, 12, inspires all with viral Youtube makeup tutorials
A 12-year-old girl with cancer, who has captivated the Internet
with her makeup tutorials over the past year, announced that her cancer
has spread to her bone marrow.
Talia Castellano started her YouTube video channel, “Make-up is my
wig,” about a year ago and quickly gained a following of more than
100,000 people. She appears in her videos bald, and goes through how to
apply different styles of eye shadow and shows off finds from shopping
expeditions. Castellano, who lives in Orlando with her mother, father and older sister, was diagnosed with cancer more than five years ago when she was 7. Since then, she has continued going to school, while still pursuing her interest in makeup, art and dancing.
“I saw other girls making makeup videos on YouTube and thought it would be fun,” Castellano told TODAY.com. “I put one up and ever since then it gotten more and more popular. It’s cool that people are now seeing that fighting cancer is not just about chemo, and that there are different things that help us through the journey. For me that was makeup.”

Bobby Brown is currently undergoing rehab for alcohol addiction.
According to TMZ, the former "New Edition" singer admitted himself to the treatment facility very recently -- because “he realized he couldn’t do it on his own.”
We're told he's being treated for alcohol abuse issues -- a problem Brown has openly suffered from for many years.
The source adds, Brown “decided that he needed help and wants to make the best out of the rest of his life for his children's sake."
Brown was arrested for DUI in March -- a month after his ex Whitney Houston died.
