Some students of the Igbinedion Univeristy, Okada, Edo State, contacted me yesterday about an incident that happened in their school involving two room mates, Chioma Onyeagwe and Hope Amadi. Over the past three days, I have been inundated with phone calls, text messages and emails from fans, friends, family members and well wishers from all over Nigeria and abroad over allegations of wife battery, assault and thievery by my wife, Mrs. Kikelomo Oyeniyi, as contained in an interview she granted City People Magazine.

I make bold to say that as much as no union is without its own trials and tribulations, I have never laid hands on my wife and will never because have got sisters and a mother.

K-Solo and wife end marriage 6 months after their wedding

Top music producer K-Solo married Kikelomo Akinkunmi in November 2011. By May 2012, the marriage was over. The wife told City People in an exclusive interview that the marriage ended because K-Solo was in it for money and also because he assaulted her so much she lost the pregnancy she was carrying when they got married. Four Igbinedion University students kidnapped this afternoon

 

I heard this about this message spreading from students of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, that four final year medical students of their school were kidnapped this afternoon along the Okada-Benin road after an armed robbery incident which left two other individuals at the scene dead.

The students are: Ayo Adeniji, Nwankwo Adaobi, Nwagwu Chizoba, and Chuma Emembolu. (Three of them pictured above) Hope they are found. Expecting updates from the students and everyone.

Lauryn Hill facing jail time after failing to file tax returns for 3 years

Lauryn Hill was this morning charged with failing to file tax returns for three years by a Federal Court in New Jersey. The 37 year old mother of six is accused of not filing the returns in 2005, 2006 and 2007 despite earning $1.6 million in that time.

Lauryn could face up to one year in prison for each count and $300,000 in fines, according to TMZ. She will appear in court on June 29.

Most of you probably heard the rumours yesterday that the Dana plane that crashed was distressed for a while but could not make an emergency landing because the airspace was closed for 2 hours for the Presidential Jet carrying Dame Patience Jonathan. Our attention has been drawn to the orchestrated plan to politicize the Sunday Dana Air crash in Lagos in which many people lost their lives, through rumours about the possible cause of the accident citing VIP movement involving the wife of the President.

We consider it callous, inhuman and devilish for anyone to have thought of wrapping such national calamity in political garb by insinuating that the plane crashed because the airspace was closed for the First Lady's movement in Lagos.

For the avoidance of doubt, the First Lady arrived Lagos at about 2pm on Saturday, 2nd June, 2012 for a private engagement and was billed to leave for Abuja on Monday, 4th June, 2012.

In compliance with her itinerary, the First Lady arrived Lagos on Saturday. She was at a public event on Sunday when the accident occurred and promptly abandoned the ceremony as a mark of respect for the victims and retired to the State House, Marina. She left Lagos at exactly 13.15hrs on Monday, 4th June, 2012, according to schedule.

It is therefore surprising that some mischievous persons will see this moment of National mourning as an opportunity to blackmail and impugn the First Lady's integrity.

This is the time for all Nigerians to be sober and pray for the repose of the souls of the victims and not a time to subordinate the interests of our nation to narrow self-serving interests.

Let us all put the interest of the Nation first in whatever we do.

Mrs. Jonathan had no intention to travel on Sunday and never did. Like all Nigerians, she has been mourning the dead.

Al Qaeda's 2nd-in-command killed in CIA drone attack

 

Al Qaeda's second-in-command Abu Yahya al-Libi has been killed in a CIA drone strike in Pakistan. Al-Libi was killed on Monday June 4th in a pre-dawn US drone strike in North Waziristan, a Taliban and Al Qaeda stronghold along the Afghan border. The US say his death is the most important blow to Al Qaeda since US special forces troops swooped into Pakistan last year and killed Osama bin Laden.

i wasn't going to upload any event incurred from the recent plane crash.... but i never believed that Former broadcaster and NNPC General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Dr Levi Ajuonuma was on board the ill fated Dana plane. If you don't know who Levi is, please Google him.

Also 5 members of Staff of Nigerian University Commissions (NUC) and Ehime Aikhomu, son of former Vice President, Late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, were also on board.

I have quite a number of names and photos of those who died, but waiting for manifest from Dana.

Meanwhile President Jonathan has declared three days of mourning for those who lost their lives. He also asked that the Nigerian flag be flown at half mast for the three days.

Breaking News:suicide bombing in Bauchi

At least ten people have been killed today as a suicide bomber drove a Honda car into a church, Harvest Church sandwiched between Living Faith church and Deeper Life Church in Yelwan Tudu, Bauchi. An eyewitness said on phone that the attack has killed several people including the suicide bomber and guards at the church. "We are still carrying out rescue operation and will speak to you later please.” Other churches in the area hurriedly closed as security operatives arrived the scene.
