The Power of Facebook- Parents say they learned of daughter’s death on Facebook
The parents of a college freshman who was found dead on campus say they found out about her death on Facebook.
Jasmine Benjamin, a 17-year-old
nursing student at Valdosta State University from Lawrenceville, Ga.,
was found dead in a study area in her dorm on Nov. 18. According to CBS Atlanta, police are treating the death as a homicide, pending the results of an autopsy.
Jasmine's parents say the school did not inform them of her death, learning about it instead through a friend's Facebook post.
"For someone to be so insensitive
not to reach out to the family, it's very, very hurtful to say the
least," James Jackson, Jasmine's stepfather, told the network.
School officials say campus police notified Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department, which then notified her parents.
FEC approves N2.2bn 150-seater banquet hall for Aso Rock Villa
If i remember well, there's an existing banquet hall in the Villa .Why this one again..?
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Muhammed, said
the proposed hall, which will be constructed by Julius Berger, will have
walk ways, security post, hall conveniences, technical room and press
briefing room.
And all that for a whooping sum of N2.2bn? ..Mbuk?
But wait o, if i were to speak about this, with all honesty, i think we should reconsider the way we exhume our expenditure in this part of the region/world.
this is quite unnecessary, when we have hungry children and women all over, flood victims and roads to repair.. Please give this a thorough thought before *slow down men at work*

"As you move up in your career, it's important to understand how to handle difficult conversations," Bennington says. "The sooner we can all learn to solve problems rationally through mature dialogue, the better."

Researchers from Western University report that grapefruit juice can interact with more than 85 oral medications, including certain cholesterol-lowering statins, cancer medications, antibiotics, anti-depressants, pain medications, heart drugs and other widely used pills.
"What I've noticed over the last four years is really quite a disturbing trend, and that is the increase in the number of drugs that can produce not only adverse reactions but extraordinarily serious adverse drug reactions," lead researcher David Bailey, a clinical pharmacologist at the Lawson Health Research Institute, told CBC News.
