Amber Rose is getting her own talk show
The model, actress and social media superstar is getting her own weekly talk show on VH1, the network announced on Tuesday. Rose is teaming up with Dr. Phil McGraw for the show, which will premiere this summer and will find the 29-year-old conducting "candid interviews with celebrity friends and lead provocative, entertaining and humorous conversations with guests about pop culture, motherhood, relationships, friendships, race, and entrepreneurship," VH1 previewed.

Afeni Shakur, mother of hip-hop legend Tupac, dies at 69
Afeni Shakur, the mother of late, rapper Tupac Shakur, died on Monday May 2nd in Northern California. She was aged 69.
The Marin County Sheriff's Department confirmed her death via Twitter, adding that deputies responded to a possible cardiac arrest situation at her Sausalito home yesterday and transported her to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

I have nothing but love for you, but after I watched all 45 mins or so of your interview, I am a bit disappointed.
Tiwa, I know it hurts when a relationship breaks down, and those accusations T Billz made were extremely hurtful, nonetheless, I believe you could have employed caution when responding, since according to you, he was unstable and suicidal.In law, if for instance, you walk in on your man in bed with another woman and you shoot him on the spot, you could get a lighter sentence, if your legal counsel argues provocation. On the flip side, if you walk out of the scene to get a gun and then launch an attack, it’s now considered premeditated.The fact that you granted a ‘pitch perfect’ interview, with a flawless visual background and superb audio quality, in my opinion looks a bit premeditated.If you had denied all his accusations and asked to swear on ayelala or amadioha or sango as against the lie detector test, since on no instance has a polygraph ever been used in Nigeria, and if afterwards you had requested for privacy, as you deal with such a sensitive issue, this matter would have been laid to rest. How are you going to tell Nigerians not to talk about issues you ‘used your own hand’ to make public? This could only serve to further delay your healing.Even though my prayer is for your issues to be resolved and for joy to return to your home, the breakdown of a marriage is not the end of the world, I have been through it and my world did not end. Students reportedly sentenced to two months for hawking fuel & constituting a nuisance in Abuja
A male student and his female partner have been sentenced to two months imprisonment, each, by an Abuja Grade 1 Area Court for hawking fuel in a jerry can along Abuja-Kubwa expressway, an act which constitutes an embarrassment to the Government.
According to the prosecutor, a team of police officers apprehended & arrested the accused, bringing them to the police station with 55 litres of fuel in their possession.

Senators of Nigeria’s 8th National Assembly have vowed to stand by the embattled President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, until he is convicted by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
Saraki is currently standing trial at the CCT for alleged false declaration of assets; an offence he allegedly committed between 2003 and 2011 when he was Governor of Kwara State.
“We agreed that this Senate should stand by the Senate President in his trial until proven guilty by the court, in accordance with our Constitution and democratic practices all over the world, including South Africa, Brazil and Russia,” Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu said.

Fire destroys 50 shops in Ladipo market
No fewer than 50 shops were destroyed by fire on Wednesday at Ladipo Auto Spares Market, Mushin, Lagos.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that goods, particularly assorted vehicles spare parts, were burnt at the Osoro section of the market.
Nkire Ezeigbo, Public Relations Officer, Ladipo Auto Dealers Association, told NAN that the fire started at about 3.30 a.m. from the Osoro/Akinwumi area of the market.
