The University of Lagos on Thursday graduated 47 Doctor of Philosophy and 3,182 Master’s degree holders.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university,
Prof. Rahamon Bello, said this at a special convocation for
post-graduate students as part of activities marking the institution’s
Golden Jubilee.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that
2,353 students were awarded diplomas and first degrees in the various
disciplines on Wednesday.
Of the figure, 91 graduated in First Class.
Bello said 3,268 students were conferred
with post-graduate diplomas, adding that only one student was conferred
with Master of Philosophy.
The vice-chancellor said 253 graduated
from the College of Medicine while 467 graduated from the Faculty of
Business Administration.
In addition, Bello said the Faculty of Law produced 194 while the Faculty of Pharmacy had 98.
