French test: Wayne Rooney is reported to be heading to Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain
A former advisor to French giants Paris St Germain claims the club will sign Wayne Rooney from Manchester United in the summer.
Despite United manager Sir Alex Ferguson stating recently that Rooney will not leave Old Trafford this summer, the England international continues to be linked with a switch to mega-rich PSG.
Now Michel Moulin – who worked very briefly as an advisor to PSG in 2008 – has claimed that a deal for Rooney is 'done'.
Heading for the exit: Rooney has been a Manchester United player since leaving Everton in 2004
Rooney has been linked with the French club constantly in recent weeks, with players Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva urging him to join them in Paris.
The 27-year-old has never indicated that he wishes to leave United and today the club distanced themselves from the claims in France.
