Virus causing concern for Wenger

Arsene Wenger revealed Arsenal would go as far as stopping players shaking hands if it meant keeping a virus from spreading through the squad.

The Gunners hope to have Per Mertesacker available for Saturday evening's trip to West Ham after the German missed the midweek Champions League win over Olympiakos with a flu-like illness which had also previously laid low England forward Theo Walcott, midfielder Francis Coquelin and captain Thomas Vermaelen.

While the current outbreak is nothing like an epidemic, Wenger maintains the club are always cautious in regards to prevention, and he said: "We have improved the level of hygiene in the dressing room, we clean everything. It is funny, but shaking hands is one of the biggest things to spread virus."

UK-based Nigerian doctor commits suicide after plan to marry two different women backfires

Bamidele Ayeni, a popular juju singer was having an affair with late Dr Ojagbemi while he lived with long term partner Jackie Hammond.

                              

A cheating Nigerian-born GP who led a double life with two women for seven years and promised to marry both of them one month apart hanged himself when his secret was exposed, an inquest heard. Dr Festus Ojagbemi, 49, known as ‘Wally’, who had a surgery in Strood, Kent, lived with long-term partner Jackie Hammond in the week and lover Bamidele Ayeni on weekends – for seven years.
He fathered a child with Miss Ayeni – a popular Nigerian singer known as Dele Achiever – and said he would wed them both, while racking up thousands of pounds worth of debt taking them on holidays.
But when the secret was discovered by Miss Hammond he stabbed himself twice in the chest at his surgery, St Mary’s Medical Centre, the inquest was told. But he survived that attempt on his life.
While recovering in hospital he told police and both women he was attacked by a stranger. But he eventually confessed the truth to officers – only to take his own life four days later on February 12.

Alcohol addiction reduces mental performance – NDLEA boss + how it affects you body

The Lagos Commander of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Alhaji Suleiman Aliya, has warned that excessive alcohol consumption can reduce mental performance especially in youths.

Aliya spoke at the Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local Government in Lagos on Friday at the drug control awareness campaign for secondary school pupils organised by the Organisation of Nigerian Chaplains in conjunction with Lagos State Inter-ministerial Drug Abuse Control Committee in Lagos on Friday. The drug control awareness campaign, which was themed, “Drug and you,” attracted participants across the state.

The representative of Lagos NDLEA commander, Mrs. Titi Okunloye, warned youths to stay away from alcohol to avoid the risk of addiction which could slow down mental and physical productivity.

According to him, alcohol is one of the illegal drug which is socially acceptable but harmful to the health of the consumers, especially those who abused it by taking it in excess. if you love life, read more... just saying

A wedding ring that imprints 'married’ on your man's finger

There is a wedding band or ring that brands 'married' on your husband's or wife's finger and it has been seen and tested (not on me oo) :-). So, even if he/she takes off the ring...other women/men (who give a shit...some don't apparently :x)) will know he/she's taken.
bUt i ask, will this stop Naija men from doing their shitty duties outside the home...?

Another Dead Baby Found Near A Refuse Dump In Gowon Estate

Wonders they say will never cease... as Residents of the named area woke up early this morning to find a new born baby stone dead near a refuse dump right before the entrance of Gowon Estate at Ponle bus stop. The new born was left there alive because two women later said they heard the cries of a baby in the early hours of this morning as they headed to the market but didn't know where it was coming from. The baby was left there naked to battle the cold for hours. The baby sadly died before anyone could even realize he was there. more sad pictures after you continue...
