Fayose condemns Lagos APC 1-Million-Man March, Says; "Buhari has vindicated me"

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described the planned One-Million-Man March by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos as a plot by the party to cause chaos and pandemonium in the State, so as to take the minds of the public away from the lies they told about the health status of the party's presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd). 

The governor also said that he had been vindicated by Buhari, having admitted that he actually travelled to the United Kingdom to rest and that he visited his doctors.

According to a statement issued on Friday, by the governor's Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, "walking the streets of Lagos by the APC won't remove the fact that the party is a congregation of liars and deceitful people, who can never be trusted with the resources of Nigeria and its people."

Frogalicious! Japanese cafe serves a whole frog burger

 

The deep fried frog will be served in a black bun, colored with bamboo charcoal, and topped with lettuce.

For a 1,000 yen ($8), the burger comes with a drink. That's roughly the price of a Big Mac meal in Japan.

The cafe is part of Orbi Yokohama, a nature-themed amusement park to the south of Tokyo.

Update on court case between Tinubu vs AIT - Court grants Tinubu accelerated hearing

In a motion Exparte filed before an Ikeja High Court on Friday March 6^th 2015, the court granted an accelerated hearing for motion on notice in the case of defamatory and libelous documentary aired on DAAR Communications, AIT. The granted accelerated hearing comes up on Monday March 16, 2015.

The exparte motion brought before  Ikeja High Court - sought an order of interim injunction restraining  the respondent, AIT whether by itself, agents, privies and or other persons from producing  or continuing to broadcast, airing, or continuing to reproduce any defamatory documentary against the applicant which AIT started to broadcast on Sunday 1st of march , 2015 and has been repeating on a daily basis since then, 

Pending the airing and determination of the motion on notice for interlocutory injunction dated 5th March ,2015  filed in this suit.

An American Missionary worker, Rev. Phyllis Sortor, was kidnapped in the Hope Academy Compound in Kogi state on Monday February 23rd, but has now regained her freedom from her kidnappers. According to the Kogi state Police Commissioner, no ransom was paid for her freedom.

`HARRISON FORD IN A CRASH, BUT OKAY

 (CNN)Actor Harrison Ford was "banged up" and hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a 1940s aircraft he was piloting crashed during a forced landing on a golf course, his publicist said. "Harrison was flying a WW2 vintage plane today which had engine trouble upon takeoff," Ina Treciokas said. "He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely. He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery."

Agbaje bags Igbo chieftaincy title, promises equity for Lagos citizens

The Igbo community in Lagos State on Thursday conferred a chieftaincy title on Jimi Agbaje, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as a mark of solidarity for the April 11 governorship election. An elated Agbaje promised that the state would be a home for all tribes, where no one would be discriminated against. Explaining the rationale behind the title, a communiqué issued stated: “The bestowment of Ezi Nwanne Nidigbo (Beloved brother of Ndigbo) in recognition of his readiness to partner the Igbo nation on assumption of office. “Ndigbo will be part of the incoming administration of Jimi Agbaje in Lagos State. Ndigbo will work assiduously to accomplish a landslide victory for both Mr. President and Pharm. Jimi Agbaje.” Conferring the title of “Ezi Nwanne Ndigbo 1” in his palace in Surulere area of Lagos was Eze Cyril Anomneze, who dressed the politician with the insignia of office, including the titular staff, beads and robe. Anomneze described Agbaje as a true friend of the Igbo people, Present at the occasion were several titular heads, including the President-General of Igbo Associations in Lagos, Ebere Ubani. Saying that the Igbo people saw Agbaje as their standard bearer in the Lagos governorship race, Anomneze prayed for the PDP governorship candidate.
